A psychedelic blending of Archaeology, Baseball, Critters and MORE far out stuff!

The intended purpose of Grateful Dig is to stake out a chunk of cyberland where I can organize my more personal thoughts and workings in order to redesign Thumbprint.org into a strictly commercial site with a single focus of presenting my archaeology themed products and artwork for sale. I suspect that some of my personal photos and ramblings may be actually confusing potential clients who should be evaluating my products rather than looking at my cemetery photographs, or reading the entire list of publications I have authored and/or co-authored. Besides, I am also beginning to think that all that (now THIS) stuff may be screwing up my search engine rankings (especially Google) for the keywords I want that site to show up under.

Grateful Dig represents my second and a half website, following on the heels of the successful launch of Thumbprint.org in 2002, and the collaborative effort with my brother Kevin, known as ToulonHighSchool.com. The subsequent maintenance of the latter website has proven an interesting cultural study, albeit an unintentional one, of just how little importance modern people place on their personal history. As Kurt Vonnegut Jr. writes, "So it goes."

In addition to photos and lots of stuff about baseball and baseball cards, this site provides linkages to my blog and favorite websites. This URL will also one day be the official website of my novel, and likely My Novel: The Movie.

Also available here are my resume and the results of my ongoing historical research of the nifty structure that I call home. Anything else that I find interesting will also likely be presented in some form or another as well. So please, grab a Coke, or a beer, or a pot of tea- and enjoy your stay. Remember my Emotto... "When in doubt, double click."       - Kris
