| Experience Mr. Shepard is a multitalented individual comfortable working with a wide variety of tools. As an author, Mr. Shepard's ability to carry projects from inception through completion is demonstrated by the volume of technical reports written for various cultural resource management firms. Subsequent positive experiences as a newspaper and web correspondent and the creation and maintenance of a personal blog further demonstrate his diversity. Mr. Shepard's creativity is readily expressed via a portfolio of photographs and graphic art that is as strong as it is unique. Similarly, Mr. Shepard is an established videographer capable of working in a variety of environments. Whether illustrating prehistoric projectile points for publication or creating graphics for display on websites or matrix display boards to be viewed simultaneously by thousands of viewers, Mr. Shepard has yet to encounter a challenge that can't be converted to an opportunity. Since 1989, Mr. Shepard has contributed to a variety of contract archaeology projects, both as laboratory director and project director (archaeological survey, site testing, and data recovery). In addition, Mr. Shepard has established excellent working relations with research and curational facilities in the Southwest. Other responsibilities have included completing lithic and ceramic analyses; coordinating specialized analyses with various researchers; preparing project cost proposals; complying with permit requirements and end-of-year reporting for various federal, state, county, and city agencies; and researching archival records. |
